Weekend Reading 6.12.21

By Kate Riley June 12, 2021

I spent a few hours hiking in Muir Woods on Friday, that was such a cool experience. There’s something about walking dirt paths and being surrounded by 1,000+ year old redwood trees that feels grounding and makes the little things we worry about seem…so little. I recommend the visit if you’re ever in the Bay Area, it’s about 30 minutes north from the Golden Gate Bridge.

I bought a few more green plants for my studio (can’t stop, won’t stop) so I needed two new planters and decided to make them. Assuming all goes well with that DIY project, then I’ll share them later this week!

  1. They think that *Sunnyvale* is in the top 50 best places to live?? Um, no, haha. I think Berkeley and SF have their share of issues, like affordability, but I would definitely choose Burlingame or Mountain View or Palo Alto over Sunnyvale, among South Bay suburban towns along most metrics.
