For nearly ten years, I’ve been writing about how to bring affordable style to your home. The focus here is inspiring interior design, smart home improvement, and creative DIY projects. I always share my tips and tricks whenever I transform a space or create something new. Catch up on the archives by browsing the Projects page, and don’t miss the Style Files for plenty of inspiring home improvement and interior decorating ideas.
I also obsessed with traveling and do it as much as possible! Here on the blog, I often share a peek into my wine country lifestyle, my budget travel tips, and I feature the spots I’ve visited all over the world. Catch up on my globetrotting adventures by reading my Travel articles and subscribing to my new YouTube channel.
A little about me: I’m a lawyer turned design blogger who quit my practice to focus on interior decorating and do-it-yourself projects. I’ve tackled several remodels over the past decade, including my own home addition and remodel beginning in 2006 and my current fixer homes. I’ve created several collections of fabrics and wallpapers as well, see all of my designs on my portfolio website. Here on the blog I share all of my DIY and decorating projects, as well as my life in California and all of my travel adventures.
My work has been featured in the following online and print publications:
I’ve partnered with the following brands:
Lowes, Home Depot, True Value, Rust-Oleum, Armstrong Flooring, Daltile, Smith & Noble, Mohawk Flooring, and Arrow Fastener tools, as well as home decor brands such as World Market, Ballard Designs, IKEA, Michaels Stores, Dash & Albert, Waverly, West Elm, HomeGoods, Wayfair, Pine Cone Hill, Donna Karan Home, Z Gallerie, Joss & Main, and American Express Rewards among others.
