Make Your Own Jigsaw Puzzle

By Kate Riley August 19, 2020

My son and I like doing puzzles together. We do crossword puzzles in the car, and jigsaw puzzles a few times a year. There’s something very calming about putting a puzzle together and we’re always talking each other through it.  With his school schedule online, I like when he hangs out with me at lunchtime, we eat together and work on puzzles for half an hour.

It’s very easy to make your own jigsaw puzzle. There are a few companies that will do it for you. I use Zazzle a lot because their templates are really easy. They offer a few template sizes to make your own puzzle, from simple to difficult.

I had a jigsaw puzzle made with my Joshua Tree art print, also one in beach waves and another with surfboards. All you need to do to make your own is upload any of your images to the site, place an order, and your custom puzzle arrives in a week.

These make great gifts if you’ve traveled somewhere special with a spouse, partner, or friend! And since we’re all spending more time at home… they’re also a thoughtful gift for those who may feel isolated and looking for projects to do at home.

Tap into your wanderlust while staying home with these fun travel themed jigsaw puzzles.

They may inspire you to make a puzzle of your own with an image from your travels!

  1. Found you via Thistlekeeping, I’ve made several puzzles through Shutterfly, both for our family and to use as gifts, and they are always a hit. And a great way to re-live vacation memories.
