My yard sale was a success! I made $400 and sold half my stuff, so I’m doing it again in a few weeks in the hopes of getting rid of it all. I sold a few pieces of furniture I wasn’t loving anymore to make room ones that I can buy with my sale proceeds, ha!
Yesterday, I bought two new chairs for my front porch to create a little chat set (sometimes called conversation sets). I walk a few miles each weekend with a good friend in the neighborhood, and when we’re done we always sit there on my porch for a few minutes to cool down. In good weather, I like to sit and wave hello to neighbors that pass by. Chat sets are so great for just those reasons.
In my search I found so many great looking trios, I just had to share! Here are 20 nice looking and affordable chat sets for under $400!
gracie green (multiple colors)
powder coated bistro (multiple colors)
del ray (multiple colors)
cottage white (also turquoise)
paris blue armchairs (also red and black, $426)
marseilles (armchairs only)
What do you think? Those are some stylish sets for under $400 right?
.
Oooh, I really like the Latigo chairs. The iron base with styled bamboo chair that’s sits atop looks gracious and sturdy.. a very nice curated list of looks. Now if only the DC weather would cooperate and i can sit outside.
Especially love the set from Target but what a great selection! Might have to rethink my plan to repaint my ancient wrought-iron bistro set. So which one did you get?
Hi Debbie! I ended up choosing just a pair of white rattan chairs, I didn’t link to them but since I don’t need the little table in between, the pair of chairs was a better option for me. :)
These are awesome. What a great collection you put together. But I’ve never heard them called chat sets. Learn something new every day.
I’ve never heard them called that either. We usually refer to them as bistro sets. Always good to learn something new.
I just learned it myself! Always thought they were called “conversation” sets, I guess “chat” is the more modern referral? :)
Me too! (See my reply to Wendy!)
Any one of these would look lovely on a balcony as well. I prefer the ones without cushions where rain can just flow through them. I find cushions too hot in my climate.
Honestly, didn’t even realize I was in the market for a chat set, but the Smith and Hawken one said “buy me for the beach house” and there you go! Thanks, as always, for doing all the work to curate such great collections for us to choose from!
So awesome Jenni, thanks for sharing!
