Weekend Reading

By Kate Riley November 9, 2019

Happy weekend everyone. I started working on a DIY holiday tree made with birch logs today, if it turns out the way I plan I’ll be sure to share it. I’m also hooked on the TV series Fleabag, it’s quirky and different, but so far I’m entertained and halfway through Season 1. My friend tells me Season 2 is really good so I’ll report back if I agree. :)

I’m thankful I’m not traveling this year for Thanksgiving. We’ve spent the past few years doing that, so I’m relieved to not be road tripping or flying somewhere during that busy week. I’d rather menu plan and do a little online shopping in my pajamas at home. :)

Favorite links from the week:

Lovely: the mix of stack bond tile, pale wood, and brass finishes in this laundry room.

Don’t you agree, this the most festive front door!

Oh my, this mist green + copper kitchen is very fresh and fab.

Emily shares her better-than-flowers easy and free styling hack.

Simple and rustic: this tabletop DIY candleholder for the holiday season.

Get cozy by knitting your own chunky yarn blanket.

Jen made a handy printable Christmas planner for the 2019 season.

This is such an interesting trademark battle.

I loved all the comments in this post about sounds people love.

This is the sweetest song I’ve heard all year! (cue the happy tears)

  1. Anything that makes us stop for a minute and truly think about the simple things in life that are free, is a very good thing indeed. I really enjoyed reading everyone’s comments of their favourite sounds. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Such a great list. Loved every one of the links. Sugar and Cloth is inspiring me to rethink a front door repaint! Thanks for including my planner.
