Hello everyone, welcome to another week! I spent the weekend sprucing up an outdoor space at our house and I’ll have more pictures of it later this week. Today I wanted to share a really fun experience among blog friends that originated with Jennifer of Rambling Renovators and Stefanie of Brooklyn Limestone.
The two came up with this idea to get a group together to exchange a few favorite things and mail them to each other in anticipation of Mother’s Day and as a feel good way to embrace our community of fellow bloggers. The gift giver was kept a secret until the package arrived, which they all did a few weeks ago, it was a lot of fun!
A group of companies was involved and sent a few more things our way, and it was such a delight to receive treats from them too. A big thank you to the following brands and companies for all the gifts: Wrist Soiree, The New York Times Store; The Company Store; Schoolhouse Electric & Supply Co.; Home Decorators; Minted; and Delta Faucets.

Nicole of Making it Lovely was my giftee, so I sent her some of my favorite things including a Kate Spade pencil case, personalized pencils, some Chocolove (the sea salt + dark chocolate + almonds is TDF) and my favorite skin primer (takes five years off!)

Reichel of Copy Cat Chic got me and I was so excited to see here name when my package arrive, I’ve followed her blog for years. She sent me some wonderful treats all in a black and white palette (so chic!) and so thoughtful too.
I was charmed by this mug by Wandersketch on Etsy that Reichel had personalized with a drawing of my home!

What a fun idea! I’m absolutely in love with that kaleidoscope pareo towel – it’s gorgeous! Lots of good gift ideas for my mom, as well! (Still on the hunt over here … procrastinator…) :D
Loved participating on the exchange with you Kate! I will have to pick up that skin primer – because what mom doesn’t want to look five years younger ;) Enjoy all the gifts!
I am all about the chocolate and scarves and I just love the house drawing mug. I want one of those for sure.
So excited when I saw I got you! Glad you’re enjoying everything. I loved that mug so much when I got it I almost wanted to keep it for myself ;)
That personalized mug is the cutest!
Hi, love the gift ideas, but I’m not finding the link for the infinity scarf (#3) and the green (jade) earrings. Do you happen to know which link it is?
I have to get some of that primer….do they have any that take off 10 years, :)
Ha Kathy! That’s funny, yes, wouldn’t that be great ;)
Not sure I understand the point of this (other than obtaining $ from sponsors). I gave someone presents and someone else gave me presents. The end.
I’m sorry you feel that way Hugh, like I said it was a way for mom design/DIY bloggers to show each other some love and come up with some ideas for Mother’s Day gift giving too.
I love the whole idea/sentiment behind this! So fun! What is next to the H&S Paris tea? Is it a perfume or a candle? I wanted to try out their candles or the Jo Malone candles. I hear so many great things about them. With that being said, I think I will try out the primer first. I have my priorities straight! ;-)
What a great idea! Thank you so much for sharing. I order mugs from Jonathon Adler yesterday after seeing them on the list. My Mother and Mother in Law are going to love them. I even ordered 2 travel mugs from there for teacher appreciation week. Love reading your blog. Thank you for being wonderful you.
