I have really enjoyed this week so much, between the fall sprucing and the beautiful weather, it’s been lovely hanging around the house. This weekend is shaping up to be both relaxing and busy in a good way, we’re wrapping up the soccer season, working on the shelter home that’s recently been painted, I’ll be trimming a window and painting a front door and sharing more details soon. And of course Sunday brings another round of great football watching!
Here’s the roundup of the not to miss posts from September:
Autumn arrived in the living room with a few seasonal touches; I tackled two more colors in the Color Series, decorating with black and decorating with orange. Also DIY fabric coasters.
Did you see the before on this cabinet makeover? Take a tour of the Valley of the Moon in Sonoma, and here are a few Etsy artists I like (plus more reader favorites in comments). After a trip to NYC, I wrote up an inexpert fall fashion report and some images of the High Line and Chelsea. I published a list of 75+ favorite retailers for home decor and accessories.

What a great round up! Loved it all, especially the biz tips from smp and your writings from around the web. Good stuff.
Hi Kate, I’m going to be painting my new place entirely in grey. I’ve been looking for a grey that’s as close to SILVER as I can get. I’d be grateful for any ideas you may have.
Hi Wendy, are you looking for an actual metallic? I like the Modern Masters paints, and I know Martha Stewart has a few at Home Depot.
See also Platinum Gray by Ben Moore if you don’t want any metallic sheen.
