Hi friends, guess where I am this week? Why the Aloha State, that’s where! And how funny that I wrote this post on Ten Reasons I Miss Hawaii three years ago on this very day.
It’s been six years since we’ve been to Hawaii but we scored some affordable flights on Hawaiian Airlines a month ago and this week we’ve finally returned to the islands.
I don’t have any guest posts scheduled nor do I have any plans to blog, I think that would make my vacation less enjoyable, so I’m offline for the remainder of the week. If you want to live vicariously follow along on Instagram for a daily dose of aloha. Then again, if that’s annoying to see other people on vacation, you might not!
You can catch a couple articles scheduled for later this week over at Centsational Style. Meanwhile I’ll be soaking up the sun, toes in the sand, mai tais in hand, listening to slack-key guitar with the feeling of aloha all around. In paradise!
Be back first thing next week to share some favorite sights from the islands!
Great pictures! Thanks for sending out a little warmth on this 24 degree day. Happy Vacationing!
Have a wonderful and restful time!
Enjoy! We just went for the first time (island of Oahu) over New Years and loved every. single. minute. of the trip! There is snow on the ground in Iowa today…mentally transporting myself back there via your post! :)
Your in my state!! Now if only you could stop by and help decorate! ;) Enjoy your trip!!
Hope you have an amazing time!! Bring back some of that warmth ;)
So fun! My husband and I are heading to Kauai early tomorrow morning and I can’t wait!! The forecast is showing that it will be pretty rainy, so I hope they are wrong!! :)
Hope you guys have a wonderful time!
I’ve never been and at this rate, it’ll be a loooong time before I can go :) I’ll just live vicariously through you! Have a great break.
my in laws were all just in hawaii…we bought a house this year so we are not going anywhere :( someday we will get back to it…and to hawaii. enjoy your trip!
Have a wonder-filled vacation, Kate!
Kate, are you staying near Napili Beach? That’s our spot!
I live on Oahu. Now everytime I go out this week I’ll be looking over my shoulder to see if I see you. Haha is that creepy?! Have a great time. Perfect time to visit. It finally stopped raining this week after what feels like months of rain!
Have fun girl.

To make your time even more enjoyable (if that’s possible) think of me just once in Ontario Canada where we’re still in the throws of a Christmas Wonderland ( Oh JOY !!) Have a great time with your family in wonderful surroundings Kate.
Make happy memories, I look forward to reading about your trip xo
Have a wonderful time! We were fortunate enough to visit Oahu years ago. Hubby bought me fresh flowers everyday, the sunshine, the beaches, the waves, and the wonderful pineapple is still a wonderful vivid memory for me.
Have fun! I went to Maui last summer and was just amazed at how beautiful it is.
I’m so jealous! Have a great time!! :)
There are no words to describe how jealous I am right now. I am wishing for a warm retreat. :)
Good for you for taking a true break from blogging! You’ve got to unplug from time to time. Have fun and travel safe!
Are you staying in Ko Olina? We are leaving on Monday and staying at the Marriott at Ko Olina-your picture looks like the lagoons there. We can’t wait to leave and spend 10 glorious days with our kids! Have fun!
I’m currently in Maui (Lahaina) for our Spring Break – went surfing this morning with the kiddos! Have a great time and good for you for unplugging – I’m trying to as well, but as you can see, not so successful:)
so glad you are taking a break!
Ahhh, paradise! I was married in Maui 4 years ago. It was a dream wedding on the beach. I hope that you have a fabulous vacation! Hugs, Meghan
