Weekend Reading 12.18.21

By Kate Riley December 18, 2021

Less than a week to go until Christmas! I’m glad I’m done shopping and ready to relax! I’ll share some pictures of my decorated home later this week.

The last week of this year I’m focused on the final details in our flip remodel project, those spaces are getting close to completion. Unfortunately we’ve had a lot of delays with materials this year. Right now I’m waiting for a tile delivery so we can finish the installation in the kitchen, and I’m waiting on sconces for the master bathroom. You can look forward to seeing those remodeled spaces in January!

  1. That arrangement over the fireplace will catch on fire!
We were at friends for a Christmas gathering a few years ago when a lighted taper on the mantel suddenly shifted in its holder and the dry wreath above burst into flames. I opened the front door while my husband picked up the flaming mass and ran outside.
    Not merry at all

  2. I love following around with your remodeling. I am also in the process of redoing my house. We started with the kitchen before Christmas and now on to the living room! What helped a ton was instead of getting brand new cabinets we hired a specialist to come and reface our cabinets. They looked as good as new and they were ready in time for Christmas. Can’t wait to see the finished product of your house for inspiration!
