Christmas Eve greetings friends! At last… I finally snapped a few photos of my living room, and the theme this year? Extra calm, light and bright. I didn’t deck all the halls as I have in years past because I wanted to keep it oh-so-simple. This year with socializing minimized, the only people I’m decorating for are the ones I live with so there was no need for excess.
I’m patting myself on the back that I didn’t buy anything new other than a sweet pair of wood reindeer, you’ll spy them on the mantel. When I brought out the bins I realized I have so many pretty things I’ve collected, there wasn’t any need to shop for more. I left my green plants in place and they became part of the scene. The greenery gathered on the mantel is simple clippings from my boxwood hedges paired with a preserved boxwood wreath.
Below are a few merry and bright vignettes from the space where we open gifts together, and where I’m teaching myself to play simple songs on the piano (thanks to YouTube).

You posted a picture of garland on 2 mirrors above a white sofa where did you buy the mirrors? They look like windows.
Hi, I’m not sure which image you’re referring to? Can you email me the picture?
Kate
Okay, I’ve searched everywhere! Do tell where you purchased the cute reindeer!
