It hit me this week, that feeling that fall is just about to arrive. We still have sunny weather here in Northern California, but soon it will turn and we’ll have foggy chilly mornings followed up by pleasant warm afternoons throughout September and October. It’s a beautiful time of year!
The cozy decorating impulse hit so I ordered a new rug, a pair of blue club chairs I’ve had my eye on, and a series of velvet pillows in jewel tones to layer around my living room.

Even in the heat and humidity of HoustonTX, I always have a velvet sofa. In fact, it needs recovering desperately, due to fading.
