It’s officially summer??? Wow, that happened fast. We’ve got a full house this weekend, with my sister and parents coming to stay for my niece’s graduation and my brother and his new baby coming to the house for a barbeque on Saturday. All the makings of good times!
I started an Outdoor Room series over at BH&G since this is that time of year when we’re all sprucing up these transitional spaces. Three of them are linked below, as are a few other articles I’ve written lately.
And a few other links I enjoyed this week:
How to create a focal wall
Insider secrets to Walt Disney World (know of any others?)
Someone bought these Jedi jeans for $36,100.
The impact and history of the Mason jar.
Credentials and the fraud police.
The most important thing you will watch all week.
Some amazing color photos from the Depression era from the Library of Congress.
If I had a radiator, I’d do something fun like this with it.
I love the way Alicia writes about a rainy day.
Be back on Monday for a Memorial Day edition of Best of the Blogosphere…
Have a great three day holiday weekend!
I love everything featured in this post especially the outdoor room series: serene screened porches including the sunroom style. I am amazed with the beautiful photos. Anyway, I would like to visit other links too. Thanks for sharing! :-D
I won’t go into the long, drawn out explanation as to how I stumbled across your site but let’s suffice it to say, that I love it. Now on a more bizarre note, last night I went out on my Friday night date with my hubby and we sat at dinner discussing parenthood and the bitter-sweet journey of raising our precious children. We have a 17 year old and a 14 year old that are totally different. We’ve been homeschooling through a charter school (so it’s more like an independent study program) since they were both in 1st grade. We came home after our lovely dinner and as my husband began watching his favorite program I sat beside him thumbing through some of my favorite sites and was lucky enough to follow your link: The most important thing you will watch all week. It was the most important thing I’ve watched all week. Maybe the most important thing I’ve watched all year. Or all decade. Kate, I was inspired to see your blog. All I can say is thank you!
