Greetings friends, I have a lovely friend guesting for me today: Beckie from Infarrantly Creative! She’s just oozing with creativity and sees things not for what they are, but for what they can be. Friends, please kindly welcome Beckie!

“Hello CG fans. My name is Beckie Farrant, author of Infarrantly Creative. I pride myself in finding curbside castaways and revamping them into usable and beautiful decor.
Take this old hutch for example…
I flipped it upside down, added some dowel rods and a little molding and created a Pottery Barn inspired book rack for my baby girl’s room.
I found this 80’s parquet China cabinet that needed a new lease on life. It had chunks of wood missing on the sides and mighthave been destined for the dump.
So I got creative and used paint sticks to cover the blemishes. Once painted you would never know the difference.
* CG notes the brillaint use of paint sticks and makes mental note . . .
I added some bead board wallpaper to cover up the parquet doors, a little fabric, new knobs and a few coats of black paint and she is fabulous!
Just last week I found a vintage TV cabinet left for dead on the side of the road.
After removing the TV and making a few adjustments it is a console table in my entryway.
* CG thinking many others shall follow in Beckie’s footsteps . . .
I have recently begun a love relationship with reupholstering. I took two vintage wingback chairs and turned them into show stopping pieces for my family room.
CG noting upholstery tips for future use . . .
Thanks Kate for letting me guest on your blog. Wow, what a privilege it is to be here. CG is one of my favorite bloggers! Don’t let her exquisite taste and beautiful home fool you. She is as down to earth as they get…shaking her booty on the dance floor, having real conversations and acting silly with the rest of us at a blogger’s conference. Thanks so much Kate XO!”
Hop on over to visit Beckie at Infarrantly Creative!

Love, love, love them all. Loved the TV turned bookshelf/table and the PB inspired book rack….can you tell we need bookshelves at our house?!! :) You are so creative. I will definitely start reading your blog. Love your style.
Wow, this post just totally inspired me. I love every single piece you did, but the book rack is genius. I looked for one of these FOREVER when doing my sons nursery and couldn’t find anything other than a really expensive one from Pottery Barn Kids. Now I need another baby so I can make this ;)
AHHHHH!!!!!! I have 2 hutch tops of china cabinet languishing in my house- one is basically rotting on the carport- must convert them into bookshelves or something useful immediately!!!! You saved them!
Wondering how hard to get the actual TV & such out…but looks great!
I cannot get over the awesome china cabinet makeover…and that chair is Marvelous!
I have a wonderful burnt orange wing back chaise lounge from the 70’s? 60’s? that someone gave me and I have been wanting to remake it…I am so inspired now! (Now if I could only find the time to actually do it,lol.)
You all ROCK!
