Hello to all the moms out there, wishing you a Happy Mother’s Day today!  I’m looking forward to a relaxing afternoon, but first here’s another round of ‘best of the blogosphere’!  Every two weeks Amanda and I compare notes and come up with our favorite spaces, projects and posts we’ve found online, here are our picks!

Soft color, texture, and lots of natural light are the stars of Jenna Sue’s top-to-bottom sunroom makeover which features a clever DIY coffee table. Tour the room over at jennasue

Linda used foam board for this stenciled china cabinet project from Burlap and Blue. We’re loving the fresh green green geometric pattern she chose to upgrade the back of her cabinet – lovely!

  2. Thanks so much for featuring my sunroom! That canned food organizer is absolutely genius! Putting it on my to-do list….

  3. Your site has been a ray of sunshine & a spark of brillance since the moment I first stumbled upon it. My husband even loves it! (Although I think that when we’re shopping for anything for the home, he sometimes tires of me *constantly* saying “Oh! Centsational Girl had an article on how to –fill in the blank– on *this* lol )
But since our ideas do not come quickly on “Home Brightening”, we are so appreciative to have you share your ideas & findings.(I’m already loving the ideas on this posting!)
I seriously need a bigger house just for all the projects I find and can imagine the “Centsational” re-do for them!
Any way that I can put it ~~ it comes out the same…
Thank You for all that you do & share…
    You. Are. Awesome.
    Have a GREAT MOTHER’S DAY!
    Sincerely,
    Robin (& Scott too!)

  4. Great roundup – And I’m so glad to you shared the dyed chair – I have the perfect piece of furniture to that trick on!

  5. Love that china cabinet and the porch! Such great finds! You always find such clever DIY/design/decor projects to feature!

  6. Those are all fantastic projects! So much talent and creativity. I love Jenna Sue’s sunroom. That is just beautiful. How I would love to curl up there with a good book and relax. The colors are right up my alley. Hope you had a relaxing Mother’s Day Kate.

  7. I love your blog, and I follow you on Pinterest, too– I really appreciate that your tutorials are very detailed, photographed extensively, and easy to follow :) However, I wanted to chime in and let people know that the DIY Face Powder link you share uses talc as an ingredient… Talc has been removed from most baby powders, as it is an inhalation hazard, and most definitely should not be used on the face. http://www.babycenter.com/406_is-it-safe-to-use-baby-powder-on-my-baby_1519559.bc Thanks for the links, though– they are fabulous! <3

  8. I love the sunroom and the Classy Clutter pull out…esp. great idea for my daughter new home!

  9. Thanks so much for the link love! Honored to be featured on such an amazing. . . or should I say “centsational” site! :)
